Recap: Vienna Eagles vs. Bourbon War Hawks
The Vienna Eagles stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They really took it to Bourbon for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-32 win at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-10.
Cash Stricklan was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Alex Zimmer was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Vienna and bumps their season record up to 16-7. As for Bourbon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vienna and Viburnum will face off at 5:30 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Vienna is facing Viburnum at the right time seeing as Viburnum is stuck on a 15-game losing streak. Bourbon is on the road again on Monday and plays Newburg at 5:00 p.m. on February 12th. Newburg presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bourbon in Missouri (Newburg is ranked 211th, while Bourbon is ranked 474th).
