            Basketball Recap: Buena Park Coyotes vs. Whittier Christian Heralds        
        
		
        
        
            Buena Park played a tough  contest  on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt  an  80-43 loss at the hands of the Whittier Christian Heralds. The Coyotes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  50-25.
 Whittier Christian's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Leland Carrido, who  dropped  a double-double on 11 points and 12  assists. That's the most  assists  Carrido has posted since back in November of 2023. Another player making a difference was  Nori Thompson, who  went 6 of 8  en route to 18  points.
Buena Park has  been struggling recently as they've  lost five of their last six matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record  this season. As for Whittier Christian,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 10-7.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buena Park and Santa Fe will round out the year against one another at  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Whittier Christian, they will take on Village Christian at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Whittier Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.9  points per game  this season.
