Flag Football Recap: Cypress Centurions vs. Bishop Amat Lancers

Cypress and Bishop Amat squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Cypress had to settle for second. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 20-19 to the Lancers. The Centurions' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Cypress lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Tymane Allen, who threw for 230 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in one score on the ground. Cypress' leading receiver Jasmyne Roberts was Allen's top target yet again, picking up 97 receiving yards and one TD.

Lyla Terry had an outrageously good game for Bishop Amat as she rushed for 68 yards and six scores. Those six rushing touchdowns gave Terry a new career-high.

Cypress' defeat dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Bishop Amat, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 22-5.
