Sierra Vista lost to Covina on the road by a decisive 65-51 margin. Sierra Vista has not had much luck with Covina recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Sierra Vista lost, one person who can't be blamed is David Orozco. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aaron Buna, who scored 13 points.
Sierra Vista's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-4. As for Covina, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Sierra Vista will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Edgewood at 6:00 p.m. Edgewood is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Covina, they will head out on the road to face off against South Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
