Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Thunder are ranked 255th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

West Marshall pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points per game. As for Grand View Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
