Softball Recap: Washington Township Takes a Loss

Washington Township blew Clearview out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Wednesday Clearview got their revenge. The Minutemen fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 5-3. The Minutemen's defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Washington Township saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alayna Williams, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Washington Township's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Clearview, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Coming up, Washington Township will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Deptford at 10:00 a.m. As for Clearview, they will head out on the road to square off against Woodstown at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pioneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolverines have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season.
