Soccer Game Preview: Schenectady vs. Albany

Schenectady hasn't had much luck against Albany recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Patriots will head out on the road to square off against the Falcons at 3:30 p.m.

Schenectady is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Colonie Central on Tuesday. The Patriots fell just short of the Wolfpack by a score of 3-2.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Albany, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Albany Academy for Boys with a sharp 6-2 victory on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Albany considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Albany picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-5-3. As for Schenectady, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8-1.

Schenectady might still be hurting after the 9-1 defeat they got from Albany in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Can the Patriots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
