Cherryvale and Eureka are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2017, but not for long. The Chargers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cherryvale has given up an average of 55.4 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Cherryvale turned things around against Fredonia on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Yellowjackets by a score of 69-56. The game was the first time the Chargers have beaten the Yellowjackets on their court since February 14, 2023.

Meanwhile, Eureka ended up a good deal behind Lebo on Tuesday and lost 62-48. While losing is never fun, the Tornadoes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 307th, while the Wolves are ranked 127th).

Cherryvale's win bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Eureka, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 15 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.

Cherryvale strolled past Eureka in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 52-37. Do the Chargers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tornadoes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
