Volleyball Recap: South Bison vs. Thunder Basin Bolts

South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Thunder Basin Bolts, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bolts this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss on October 11th.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-20, 25-15.

Vanessa Gonzalez paced South's offense, picking up four kills. Gonzalez got some help from Katelynn Brennan and her 11 assists. Lyric Gay controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Thunder Basin can attribute much of their success to Traecyn Hilliard, who had eight digs and two aces.

South's defeat dropped their record down to 6-21. As for Thunder Basin, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-5.

South wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Campbell County on the 1st. As for Thunder Basin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Sheridan on the 31st.
