Volleyball Recap: Venice's Undefeated Season over After Nine Games

After flying high against Universal Academy last Thursday, Venice came back down to earth. The Indians came up short against the Poinciana Christian Preparatory Eagles on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Indians were not able to get on the board.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-19, 25-16.

Having lost for the first time this season, Venice fell to 8-1. As for Poinciana Christian Preparatory, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Venice will be playing at home against Gulf Coast H at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Poinciana Christian Preparatory, they will face off against Victory Charter School at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
