Football Game Preview: Hillside Comets vs. Carteret Ramblers

Hillside has gone a perfect 4-0 against Carteret recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Comets will welcome the Ramblers at 2:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Hillside's win against Roselle wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Comets narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Rams 20-18. The Comets haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carteret). They claimed a resounding 45-0 victory over New Brunswick.

Carteret's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Hillside, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-3.

Hillside was able to grind out a solid win over Carteret in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 7-0. Will the Comets repeat their success, or do the Ramblers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
