Basketball Recap: Mission Viejo Extends Winning Streak to Two

Capistrano Valley came into Wednesday's match looking for another win against Mission Viejo, but Damian Navarro wouldn't allow it. The Mission Viejo Diablos came out on top against the Capistrano Valley Cougars by a score of 41-33 on Wednesday thanks in part to Navarro, who posted 23 points and six steals. His evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The victory made it two in a row for Mission Viejo and bumps their season record up to 9-11. As for Capistrano Valley, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-4.

Mission Viejo will welcome Aliso Niguel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Aliso Niguel's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games. As for Capistrano Valley, they will venture away from home to square off against Beckman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Capistrano Valley is facing Beckman at the right time seeing as Beckman is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
