It was a good run, but Weston unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the North Reading Hornets by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wildcats have suffered since May 24, 2024.

Ryuji Nawa was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Brode Kohler, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

Weston's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for North Reading, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-4.
