Softball Recap: Nativity BVM Wins Going Away Against Shenandoah Valley

Nativity BVM won against Weatherly on Monday with 20 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Green Wave blew past the Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils 20-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Green Wave.

The team relied heavily on Lauren Clark, who fired off two home runs, nine RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addisan Ricard, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Nativity BVM kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matchups.

Nativity BVM's record is now 4-16. As for Shenandoah Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season.

Nativity BVM will challenge Marian Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Shenandoah Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
