Pinson Valley takes loss despite strong efforts from Austin Coner and Camron Frost

Recap: Pinson Valley Indians vs. Fairfield Tigers
On Monday, the Pinson Valley Indians faced the Fairfield Tigers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Pinson Valley took a 52-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fairfield. Pinson Valley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Fairfield apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Pinson Valley's loss came despite strong showings from Camron Frost and Austin Coner. Frost dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Coner scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Clyde Walters, who scored two points along with nine assists and five rebounds.
Pinson Valley's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Fairfield, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 20-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pinson Valley will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Huntsville at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. One thing working in Huntsville's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight matchups. Fairfield won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Shades Valley at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th.
