Football Recap: Coral Gables Comes Up Short

Coral Gables fell victim to Ferguson and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They were dealt a 31-0 loss at the hands of the Falcons. The Cavaliers have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Arianna Madsen had a dynamite game For Ferguson., throwing for 178 yards and five TDs while completing 72.7% of her passes. Those five passing touchdowns gave Madsen a new career-high.

Coral Gables' defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Ferguson, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Coming up, Coral Gables will take on Northwestern at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cavaliers' defense better be ready for this one: the Bulls have averaged an impressive 31.4 points per game this season. As for Ferguson, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 32-6 loss against Palmetto on the 4th.
