Baseball Recap: Boone County Takes a Loss

Boone County extended their losing streak to five on Wednesday, dropping them down to 4-9. They came up short against the Ryle Raiders, falling 15-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rebels of the 1-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

As for Ryle, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Ryle's part, Xaden Hughes was excellent, going 3-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Anthony Coppola, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

While Boone County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
