Basketball Game Preview: Creekside Knights vs. Nease Panthers

Creekside hasn't had much luck against Nease recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Creekside Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Nease Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Tuesday, Creekside lost to Bishop Kenny at home by a 55-38 margin.

Meanwhile, Nease played a tough game on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 69-40 defeat at the hands of Providence School. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 195th, while the Stallions are ranked 30th).

Creekside's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-6. As for Nease, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Creekside beat Nease 37-25 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Creekside since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
