After having lost a blowout in their previous game against East Columbus, Heide Trask was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the West Columbus Vikings as the Heide Trask Titans made off with a 48-26 win. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won eight in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Heide Trask to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alanah Watkins, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Sophia Gough, who earned 11 points and five rebounds.

Heide Trask smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive contests.

West Columbus' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Alaina Spencer, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine boards, and Demya Powell, who scored four points and six rebounds. Those nine points gave Spencer a new career-high. Keimani Little also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Heide Trask's win bumped their record up to 10-13. As for West Columbus, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.

Heide Trask wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 38-32 victory against Pender on the 14th. As for West Columbus, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-14 loss against East Columbus on the 14th.
