Softball Recap: Hartland Eagles vs. Clio Mustangs

Hartland had lost four straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 3-9 to make it five. They lost 12-0 to the Clio Mustangs. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Hartland saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addy Mach, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

As for Clio, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average this season.

On Clio's side, Summer Stevens was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave Stevens a new career-high. Kelcy Sperling also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Coming up, Hartland will face off against Canton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Clio, they will host Fenton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
