The Bald Eagle Area Eagles will be playing at home against the Central Cambria Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
On Friday, Bald Eagle Area and Central were almost perfectly matched up, but Bald Eagle Area suffered a 26-25 loss.
Even if they lost, Bald Eagle Area's defense still kept up the pressure with 4.5 sacks. Nino Danneker refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Bald Eagle Area got some further help from Kaden Clark: he picked up a sack and made eight total tackles.
Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Central Cambria, as they earned their first away win of the season. They came out on top against Somerset by a score of 35-28 on Friday. Things were looking grim for the Red Devils in the second quarter (they were down by 21) but they stormed back to get the matchup.
Bald Eagle Area better keep an eye on Ryan Chappell. He was instrumental in Central Cambria's win, rushing for 208 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. They are 4-1 when Chappell posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 0-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Cam Stevens, who picked up 78 receiving yards and one TD.
Central Cambria was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 275 rushing yards. They are 4-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Bald Eagle Area now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Central Cambria, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-5.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Bald Eagle Area has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 158.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Central Cambria struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 190.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything went Bald Eagle Area's way against Central Cambria when the teams last played back in August of 2024, as Bald Eagle Area made off with a 39-14 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Red Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
