Softball Recap: Combs Takes a Loss

Combs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Eastmark Firebirds, falling 15-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Coyotes of the 19-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Combs saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaecie Johnson, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Combs' loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Eastmark, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

While Combs had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
