Basketball Recap: Norborne's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Norborne needed a changed in momentum after dropping five straight games and they got it from Avi Leabo. The Norborne Pirates came out on top against the Tina-Avalon Dragons by a score of 37-28 on Friday thanks in part to Leabo, who posted 23 points and five steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Norborne's points.

Norborne's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Tina-Avalon, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Norborne wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 66-34 loss against Brunswick on the 21st. Tina-Avalon has also already played their next matchup (against Hardin-Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
