Baseball Recap: Rosemead Gets the Win

Rosemead posted their closest win since March 25th on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Gabrielino Eagles, sneaking past 9-7. Nine seems to be a good number for the Panthers as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Logan Mojica was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double. He has become a key player for Rosemead: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three hits, but 9-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Juleean Pinto, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Rosemead and bumps their season record up to 12-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Gabrielino, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.

Rosemead has already played their next contest, a 13-3 win against El Monte on the 24th. As for Gabrielino, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-3 victory against Mountain View on the 22nd.
