Clinton County entered their tilt with Caverna on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Colonels with a sharp 17-1 victory. Considering the Bulldogs have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Clinton County's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-10. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Caverna, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Clinton County beat the Colonels by a score of 13-2 later that day.
