Basketball Game Preview: Triad Cardinals vs. Mechanicsburg Indians

The Triad Cardinals will square off against the Mechanicsburg Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Triad has now lost 19 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since November 29.

On Tuesday, Triad came up short against Shekinah Christian and fell 57-47. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 847th, while the Flames are ranked 318th).

Meanwhile, Mechanicsburg played a tough game on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 45-24 to Shekinah Christian. The matchup marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Triad will have to contain Chris Ritchie as he made an impact in Mechanicsburg's last game. He posted two points and seven rebounds.

Triad's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Mechanicsburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.
