Baseball Recap: Etna Lions vs. Mt. Shasta Bears

In what's become a running theme this season, Etna gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 13-2 margin over the Mt. Shasta Bears. The victory was familiar territory for Etna who now have 14 in a row.

Clayton Harris made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Harris has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive pitching appearances. Harris was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Noah Hubbard was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Emmett Stacher was another key contributor, going 1-for-2 with a home run and three RBI.

Etna pushed their record up to 20-3 with that win, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Mt. Shasta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-12.
