Basketball Recap: Columbus Christian Takes a Loss

Columbus Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the Lighthouse Christian Academy Lions, falling 77-34. The Crusaders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-16.

Leading Lighthouse Christian Academy to victory were Brock Banks and Jared Mcadams. Banks went 9 of 19 en route to 29 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Mcadams almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. Banks' evening made it 16 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Jones, who posted seven points and ten rebounds.

Columbus Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Lighthouse Christian Academy, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5.

Columbus Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 60-30 victory against Cannelton on the 4th. As for Lighthouse Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-46 loss against Shoals on the 4th.
