Soccer Recap: Mt. Baker Takes a Loss

Mt. Baker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bellingham Bayhawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Mt. Baker of the 5-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2019.

Mt. Baker's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Bellingham, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mt. Baker will face off against rival Oak Harbor at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Bellingham is set to challenge their familiar foe Burlington-Edison at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
