Basketball Recap: Crestview Comes Up Short

Crestview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Choctawhatchee Indians an easy 59-36 victory. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Indians are ranked 71st).

Crestview's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Choctawhatchee, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-5.

Coming up, Choctawhatchee won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Arnold at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Crestview will be paying especially close attention to the Indians' matchup: after the Indians face off against St. Martin, they'll take on Crestview again at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
