Basketball Recap: Ridgewood [Alwood/Cambridge] Wins Going Away Against Wethersfield

Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] won the last time they faced Wethersfield and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] Spartans put the hurt on the Wethersfield Flying Geese with a sharp 64-43 win. The Spartans pushed the score to 49-26 by the end of the third, a deficit the Flying Geese cut but never quite recovered from.

Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] can attribute much of their success to Roy Sandberg, who posted 24 points. Sean Watt was another key player, putting up nine points.

Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge]'s victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-13. As for Wethersfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-19 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] will take on Biggsville West Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wethersfield, they will challenge Princeville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Wethersfield is facing Princeville at the right time seeing as Princeville is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
