Basketball Recap: Alta-Aurelia Comes Up Short

Alta-Aurelia suffered their closest loss since January 23rd on Friday. They fell just short of the Pocahontas Indians by a score of 60-57. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Alta-Aurelia dropped their record down to 2-3 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Pocahontas, they moved to 1-2 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alta-Aurelia will be home for the holidays to greet Kingsley-Pierson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pocahontas, they will host East Sac County at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. Pocahontas is facing East Sac County at the right time seeing as East Sac County is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
