Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Mission walked away with it. They won by a run and slipped past the Galileo Lions 6-5. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The team relied heavily on Isaiah Dantzler, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Ryan Coleman was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Mission's win bumped their record up to 8-20. As for Galileo, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-4.

Mission wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 10-0 defeat against Lowell on the 8th. Galileo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
