Basketball Recap: Rogers Gets the Win

Rogers posted their closest victory since January 23, 2024 on Thursday. They had just enough and edged the Robbinsdale Armstrong Falcons out 59-56. Given the Royals' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Falcons are ranked 324th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rogers' win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Robbinsdale Armstrong, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Rogers will head out to square off against Blaine at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. One thing working in Rogers' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten matchups. As for Robbinsdale Armstrong, they will square off against Spring Lake Park at 7:10 p.m. on Sunday. Spring Lake Park knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 games -- so hopefully Robbinsdale Armstrong likes a good challenge.
