Softball Recap: Alhambra Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Alhambra had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 26-5 margin over the San Gabriel Matadors. Considering the Moors have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Glorianne Nieto made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two RBI.

In other batting news, Aubrey Diaz was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Analyah Becerra was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI.

Alhambra always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .800. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Alhambra's record is now 15-7. As for San Gabriel, they are on a 26-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

As of now, neither Alhambra nor the Matadors have any future games scheduled.
