Plainview (Ardmore, Okla.) saw its 12-point lead dwindle to eight, but still managed to hang on and beat
Tuttle (Okla.) 14-6 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Austin Carrera in the second quarter, the Indians led 6-0 at the half.
Tuttle's lone touchdown came on a 32-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Plainview went into the matchup giving up only 7.0 points per game.
The victory was a completely different match up compared to last season's game between these two teams, which the Tigers took, 40-7.
The defeat comes as a step back for Tuttle, which notched a 31-13 victory over Bethany in its previous outing.
