Softball Recap: Torrey Pines Comes Up Short

Torrey Pines was the 11-1 winner over Mira Mesa when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Torrey Pines Falcons fell just short of the Mira Mesa Marauders by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday.

Torrey Pines saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Seiyoung Bae, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

Torrey Pines' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Mira Mesa, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Torrey Pines has already played their next game, a 6-2 loss against La Costa Canyon on the 8th. Mira Mesa will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Holtville at 3:30 p.m. on March 18th. Mira Mesa is facing Holtville at the right time seeing as Holtville is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
