Preview: Crossland vs. Central

Central (1-5) and Crossland (1-5) go head to head this Saturday at 2:00 PM. Central comes in off of three low-scoring performances in a row, a trend it is eager to reverse.

Fairmont Heights delivered Central a harsh 38 - 0 defeat last week.

Meanwhile, Crossland brought the heat last game after its low-scoring effort (zero points) in the match before. It took its contest against Richard Wright Public Charter School last week by a conclusive 42 - 16 score. Senior Tymon Babin didn't have many carries in the previous game, but he had more touches this time and made them count as he ran for 70 yards and punched in four touchdowns.

The last time they met, Central really took it to Crossland, winning 39 - 3. This time, their match is expected to be much closer since they have similar state rankings (Central at 371st, Crossland at 386th). The rematch might be a little tougher for Central since the team will be on Crossland's home field this time. We'll soon find out whether that makes a difference or not.
