Baseball Recap: Dekaney Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mayde Creek last Friday, Dekaney came back down to earth. The Dekaney Wildcats lost 12-2 to the Aldine Mustangs on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost three in a row.

Dekaney saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Saul Diaz, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Dekaney's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Aldine, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

While Dekaney had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
