Soccer Game Preview: Souhegan vs. Pembroke

The Souhegan Sabers will head out to take on the Pembroke Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Souhegan is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Souhegan fell victim to Lebanon and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Raiders, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Pembroke was forced to settle for a draw. They and Oyster River finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Tuesday.

Souhegan's loss dropped their record down to 5-5-2. Pembroke's draw makes their record 5-5-1 this season.

Souhegan came out on top in a nail-biter against Pembroke in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sabers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
