Softball Recap: Wakefield Gets the Win

Wakefield won the last time they faced South Central and things went their way on Friday too. The Wakefield Wolverines walked away with a 7-4 victory over the South Central Falcons. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolverines.

Brenna Colleran was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Riehle, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

Wakefield lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Wakefield's record now sits at 5-1. As for South Central, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-1 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wakefield will host Cardinal Gibbons at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against D.H. Conley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
