Collegiate took a 13-run  defeat the last time they faced off against Fieldston, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Dutchmen won by a  run and slipped past the Eagles  5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Dutchmen have posted  since May 3, 2024.
 Ale' Propper-Bowring was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing seven innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   six  hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double.
 Propper-Bowring wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Jack Deblasi, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run and one  RBI. Another  was  Alex Sabat, who  earned one  RBI, one  run,  and one  stolen base.
Collegiate's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Fieldston, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
 Collegiate does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fieldston, they will square off against Horace Mann at 4:15  p.m.  on Thursday.
