Basketball Game Preview: Ballard Beavers vs. Lynnwood Royals

The Ballard Beavers will head out to take on the Lynnwood Royals at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Ballard is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Seattle Academy just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to the Cardinals 54-49.

Meanwhile, Lynnwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against Jackson, falling 69-43.

Ballard will have to keep a close watch on Vanessa Olivar and Shifa Hanchinamani, a pair of players who had a big impact on Lynnwood's prior game. Olivar posted 16 points, while Hanchinamani had 12 points. Another player making a difference was Isatou Camara, who put up six points.

Lynnwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Ballard, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Ballard came up short against Lynnwood when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 61-54. Can Ballard avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
