Volleyball Recap: South Mountain Comes Up Short

The South Mountain Jaguars didn't have quite enough to beat the Camelback Spartans on Friday and fell 3-2. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Camelback scored at least 12 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-20, 23-25, 25-27, 15-12.

Elisha Barron had an outrageously good game for Camelback as he had 20 digs and three aces. That's the most digs Barron has posted over his last eight games.

South Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Camelback, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-13.

South Mountain wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Browne on the 15th. As for Camelback, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Apollo on the 14th.
