Baseball Recap: Buckeye Extends Winning Streak to Three

Buckeye had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Bunkie 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Buckeye also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2025.

Buckeye's victory bumped their record up to 16-10. As for Bunkie, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-10.

Coming up, Buckeye will challenge Leesville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bunkie, they will square off against LaSalle at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
