Soccer Recap: Memorial Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

If Memorial was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Jersey Village last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Memorial Mustangs came up short against the Stratford Spartans on Friday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Spartans are ranked 27th).

Memorial's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 38 goals over those six matchups. As for Stratford, they pushed their record up to 17-2-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.

As of now, neither Memorial nor Stratford have any future games scheduled.
