Basketball Recap: McClatchy Comes Up Short

McClatchy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 95-49 loss at the hands of Destiny Christian Academy. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Destiny Christian Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 78-55 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why McClatchy lost, don't look at Kai Bradford. Despite the final result, he went 8-for-14 to rack up 21 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. Bradford's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Liam Smith, who posted five points.

McClatchy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Destiny Christian Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-11.

McClatchy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Destiny Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 81-53 win against Tracy on the 19th.
