At the plate, the team relied heavily on Hailey Cottrill, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Layna Ayala, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one triple.

Meanwhile, St. Cloud narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Cooper City 4-2.

Melbourne's record is now 8-6. As for St. Cloud, their record now sits at 10-4.
