Football Recap: Canton Tigers vs. Neshoba Central Rockets
Canton scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 56-50 to the Neshoba Central Rockets. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rockets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Canton saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jaden Gee threw for 315 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 76 yards on only five carries. Those 315 passing yards set a new season-high mark for Gee.
Alandrick Hathorne was a one-man wrecking crew For Neshoba Central. as he rushed for 125 yards and three TDs on only seven carries, and also picked up 92 receiving yards and one score. Those 92 receiving yards gave Hathorne a new career-high. Denterrious Loggins also helped out as he racked up 117 rushing yards.
Canton now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Neshoba Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.
