Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lutheran). Everything went their way against the Faith Academy Flames on Thursday as the Lutheran Mustangs made off with a 71-49 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Faith Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Natalie Weems, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. Weems has been hot, having posted nine or more rebounds the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hadley Shipley, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards.

Lutheran's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Faith Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-17.

Coincidentally, Lutheran and Faith Academy will both be playing Live Oak Classical the next time they take the court. Faith Academy will head out to face Live Oak Classical at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Lutheran will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
